The Executive Mayor of Maluti-a-Phofung Counsellor Masetjhaba Lakaje-Mosia, today officially launched the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Eazi-Wash Communal Hand Wash Stations at the Setsing Taxi Rank in Qwaqwa, Maluti-a-Phofung Local Municipality.

The Eazi-Wash Communal Hand Wash Stations were donated by the UNICEF to the MAP Municipality and were installed at the Mandela Park, Setsing and Maluti Crescent Taxi Ranks in and around Phuthalitjhaba. The Eazi-Wash stations will provide the local commuters and communities with public handwashing facilities to combat the spread of coronavirus.

The Eazi-Wash Communal Hand Wash Stations are part of the MAP WASHA campaign designed to urge commuters and the community to wash their hands frequently and to observe adequate social distancing in public spaces as to mitigate the spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
